Orthoprovet

Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-04-29

This page explains what information Orthoprovet collects when you visit our website, request a quote, or open a customer account — and what we do with it. We try to keep it readable. If you want the legal version, the same rules apply — we just spell them out without lawyer voice.

Who is responsible

Orthoprovet Inc. (“we”) is the data controller for personal data submitted through this site. You can reach us at info@orthoprovet.com or (302) 613-4333.

What we collect

  • Quote and contact forms: name, company, email, phone, country, the products you asked about, and anything you write in the message field.
  • Customer accounts: email, name, company, phone, country, password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see the cleartext), marketing-consent flag.
  • Quotes and orders: the line items, delivery address, billing address, and payment outcome.
  • Site activity: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request path, timestamp) for security and uptime monitoring. We do not run third-party analytics that profile visitors across the web.

What we use it for

  • To answer your quote / contact request and ship the order.
  • To meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations — we retain order documentation as long as the law requires.
  • To send you product updates and offers only if you ticked the marketing-consent box at sign-up. You can unsubscribe from any email or write to us; the box is optional and never a condition of buying.

Who else sees your data

We share data only with the processors needed to deliver your order: the manufacturer for product configuration, the courier for shipment, and our payment processor (Stripe / PayPal / wire-transfer bank) for the transaction itself. None of these parties are allowed to sell your data, and we run with EU-resident processors where available.

Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie when you sign in to a customer account. We do not set marketing or tracking cookies. If that changes, this page is updated and you see a banner before the cookie is set.

Your rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) and equivalent US state privacy laws (Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Utah UCPA), you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the data we hold on you. Buyers in the EU, UK or other jurisdictions get equivalent rights under GDPR / UK GDPR. Send the request to info@orthoprovet.com; we acknowledge within 5 business days and complete within 45. We may keep order documentation past a deletion request when a tax or regulatory rule requires it.

Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Our database enforces tenant isolation at the row level. Backups are encrypted at rest with a 30-day retention. We have no perfect security — nobody does — but we do not collect data we don't need, and we audit who can see what every quarter.

Changes to this policy

When we change anything substantive on this page, we update the last updated date at the top. For changes that affect what we do with your existing data, we email registered customers ahead of the change.
