Shipping and delivery

Lead time and shipping cost are quoted per order — medical equipment varies too much to publish a flat rate. The page below is the framework Orthoprovet uses to build that quote, so you know what to expect before asking.

Lead times

  • In-stock accessories: ship within 2 business days of payment clearing.
  • Configured devices (most of the catalogue): 4–8 weeks from order acknowledgement, depending on the manufacturer's production calendar. Your quote shows the concrete window.
  • Build-to-order systems (custom implant sets, instrument trays and sterilization cases configured to order): 10–16 weeks. We coordinate the milestones and email you a status update at each one.

Shipping zones

  • Contiguous US (lower 48): ground freight via FedEx / UPS, 2–5 business days after dispatch. Incoterm: DDP — duties, taxes, and inside-delivery on us.
  • Alaska / Hawaii / Puerto Rico: air freight, 3–7 business days. Incoterm: DDP.
  • Canada + Mexico: ground or air via cross- border partners, 5–10 business days. Incoterm: DAP; duties cleared by the consignee broker.
  • International (EU / UK / Asia / LATAM): air freight via the manufacturer's preferred forwarder, 7–14 business days. Incoterm: DAP, CE-marked devices only.
  • Rest of world: we quote case-by-case. If we can't ship reliably to your country we say so up front rather than take the order.

Customs and duties

Customs clearance, import duty, and local VAT are the consignee's responsibility unless your quote explicitly names DDP service. We always ship with the HS code, the CE / FDA paperwork, and the commercial invoice attached so your customs broker has everything they need on day one.

Installation and training

On-site installation and operator training are available on request — either through the manufacturer's regional service team or, for nearby clinics, through us directly. Both are quoted as a separate line item; your quote will say which option applies.

If a shipment arrives damaged

Inspect the outer packaging before signing for delivery. If there is visible damage, photograph the box, refuse the parcel, and email us within 24 hours. If the damage is internal and not visible until unpacking, photograph the device and the packing materials, do not power the device on, and email us within 48 hours. Insurance claims are easy to file when the packaging is still intact and impossible once it's been thrown away.
