External Fixation Systems for Fracture and Limb Stabilisation

External fixators stabilise fractures, arthrodeses and osteotomies using percutaneous pins and wires connected to an external frame, avoiding extensive exposure of the fracture site. They are indicated for comminuted, open and infected fractures and for staged management where soft-tissue conditions preclude immediate internal fixation.

This range spans linear, circular and hybrid constructs with clamps, connecting rods, pins and adjustment components. Radiolucent frame elements aid intraoperative and follow-up imaging, while modular assembly allows the surgeon to tune construct stiffness to fracture pattern and healing stage.
